How To Measure Your Bra Size

There is obviously a lot of confusion out there when it comes to determining your correct bra size. Not only is wearing an incorrectly sized bra uncomfortable, but it can also result in poor posture and an unflattering silhouette.

Step 1: Determine your band size

Wrap the tape measure snugly around your rib cage, so that it sits just below your bust without digging into your skin. Once you've taken the measurement, round it to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add 4 inches. If the number is odd, add 5.

For example: If your band size is 31, which is an odd number, add 5. So your band size is 36.

Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size

Take the tape measure and bring it around your back to reach the fullest part of your breast. Typically, this is across your nipple. Make sure the tape is parallel to the floor. Make sure that it comfortably encircles your breast without being too tight or too loose.

33 inches to 68 inches

Step 3: Find your cup size

Okay, this part involves a little math, but don't worry! We've got you covered. Your cup size is determined by subtracting your band size from your bust size.

So for example, if your bust size is 38 inches and your band size is 36 inches, you'd calculate it like this: 38 - 36 = 2. According to the chart below, this makes you a B cup.

To illustrate, if your band size is 36 inches and your cup size is B, your bra size would be 36B.
